I had the opportunity to catch up with Ignacio Orellana(Nacho) - drums, and David Diaz - Vocal, Guitar, of Downfire at the UC Lounge in NYC February 26th, on a nice winter evening. While waiting for the show to begin, we had the chance to have a conversation about whats going on in the world of Downfire, from upstate New York, with roots in Chile. Downfires latest cd, Damnation came out May 2010, and they been performing with Ronny Munroe for some shows in the tri-state area, backing him, as well as performing their own music. Was very cool to meet Nacho, having known him from internet radio since when he was PiroSaint. Nacho has kept busy working the Chilean Metal, and Digimetal World. Check out more info about Downfire on the links listed below!! http://www.facebook.com/downfire.connect

While being at the UC Lounge in NYC, i took the opportunity to meet up with this very nice band from Brazil, Livin Garden. We has a nice little chat, and had some good fun conversation about the show, that was about to go on. Thing was we had plenty of time, due to the promoter not being there yet, and the show was delayed. So i got to know the band, and realize what a nice bunch they are. What impressed me even more what the stage presence that had, and the emotion that came out during their live set. They are working on the next cs, and i would love to have them back on the Metal Meltdown to support and promote this. They are touring with Man of Kin during the Reality Check tour, so check them out at a venue near you! http://www.livingarden.com.br/

Was exactly a month ago today i was supposed to see Death Angel for the 1st time, and get a face to face interview with Mark. However mother nature would not let that happen, as we were in the middle of an ice storm and the show got cancelled, and the interview never happened. Mark was cool to get with me during his bust tour schedule to do this from the road. This was an honor for me, especially when many were hedging bets this would never take place. Enjoy the interview, and check the links below to see the tour updates, and get merch to support Death Angel. http://www.deathangel.com/

Brian Gamblin of Titans Eve joined me on the metal meltdown for an interview. He shares guitar and vocal duties with his brother Kyle, as bassist Jesse Lord, and drummer Casey Pry rounds up the line up. These Canadian thrashers are on the move, already working on a 2nd concept album to follow up newly released "The Divine Equal". Check out their page in space for some very interesting blogs about the band http://www.myspace.com/titanseveofficial CELEBRATING THE MUSIC OF CHRISTIAN ÄLVESTAMFebruary 19, 2011 03:32 PM PST

Having Guilherme Sevens (vocals) and Carlos Saione (guitar) of Painside, Brazil, on the Metal Meltdown to spread the pain, and it was lots of fun. We talked about the Dark World Burden Cd, and how talented these guys are. We also touched upon Reckoning, Neutralis, and Tribuzy. Guilherme and Carlos shared with us a new song, "God made me unbreakable" (Ronys Torres intro song on UFC 109, featuring Jean Dolabella from (drums). This tune demonstrates a new direction Painside is going in. We also learn of a change in the bands line up, as Leandro Carvalho (Guitars) replaces Marcel "Daemon" Ross. Any fan of intense power metal needs to check out these amazing talents. Great vocals, musicianship, and lyrics. You can find more info on Painside on the links below. Contact them, and tell them what you think of their music. Enjoy spreading the Pain! http://www.youtube.com/painsideofficial

Mother Nature prevented me from doing this interview face to face. However, Jeff Paulick, vocalist/bassist of Lazarus A.D. got with me to do this interview, from the road. We got this done while he was driving to the next gig. We talked about the new realease, 'Black Rivers Flow', and how the tour is going thus far. I had the chance last year to see Lazarus A.D. when they opened for Kreator in New York City. Check them out live, at a show near you. http://www.lazarusad.com/
